We are here again, my dear friends. It is time for the annual reckoning, that fannish evaluation that decides whether we live or die or join tumblr!

Okay, so I already joined/started actually using tumblr. What can I say? I appreciate the daily scroll of pretty! Tumblr is actually not a bad place for me right now. Most of the time, it involves pretty pictures of pretty people, cute animals, or funny comics. Some of the time, there are links to meta and essays that make me think. Sometimes there is even fic--though honestly, fic was a very small part of my life this year.

Still, I did write some.

Teamwork. Stargate SG-1, Sam/Jack.
Two Things Sam and Janet Don't Have in Common (and One Thing They Do). Stargate SG-1, Gen.

TWO?! I ONLY WROTE TWO FICS?! I guess that means I have to stay on tumblr.

I re-watched Legend of the Seeker (again). The epic hair, forbidden love, cheesy humor, beautiful scenery, pretty people, shiny swords, and female friendships all make me very happy--and the show is only two seasons long, which makes it easy to rewatch.

I got very fannish about Once Upon a Time.

I started a Farscape re-watch that I didn't finish… yet. I'll get there. It's SUCH a good show, but I totally got sucked into a Doctor Who rewatch instead--I was trying to get caught up for the Day of the Doctor, and I ended up starting back with Nine, because I could and because I had to wait a very long time for the latest DVDs from the library. I have part of a post put together about the Awesomeness of Donna Noble, which I hope to get together and post early in 2014.

However, I also tried to watch Torchwood: Miracle Day. Ugh. Just… ugh. Gave up.

I was really, really, really obsessed with Iron Man 3.

You know how you get comfortable somewhere, or with something in your life, and that's when you get the news that you better start preparing yourself for possible change? That's my life right now--both at work, and at home. I don't really have any other details at the moment, so I'm going to be all cryptic here, but my role at work is definitely going to shift a bit (mainly, I think, in good ways), and I may be moving. Maybe. Like, so maybe that I ALMOST don't want to even put it in writing maybe. And if I do, it won't be far.

I decided to try to write at lest 10 minutes every day this year, keeping in mind that sometimes that wouldn't work. So far, I have done it! Over two thousand words on a long, epic Stargate fic that I'm not sure where it's going. I plan to keep poking at it, since that seems to provide opportunities for things to happen.

Also, I mentioned that re-watching Farscape was one of my 2013 goals, and since then I've been plagued by John/Aeryn shippy thoughts as well as the knowledge that trying to watch now would be fatal, as I have no extra time until summer starts. SOON, though. SOON.

P.S. Who else is watching The Lizzie Bennet Diaries? Hmm? Because we're getting to the Good Parts!

Remember this meme? It took me a long, long time to get it done, but I did not forget! Mwa ha ha.

Below the cut are my responses to the following prompts:
Top five moments when the odds are stacked against SG-1
Top five Sam/Teal'c moments
Top five Sam and Vala moments
Top five moments that made you need to write fic THAT VERY SECOND.
Top five 'almost' moments
Top five fic cliches
Top five Vala moments

I just finished reading "A Stargate Primer for the Farscape Fan," by [personal profile] katie_m, and I have to say it was one of the more hilarious things I've read about Stargate and the fandom. I wish I'd had this around when I first stumbled into Stargate kinda sorta almost maybe through Farscape (but not really). On the other hand, I can now appreciate all the humor in it, so that's pretty sweet.

Am now going to read "A Farscape Primer for the Stargate Fan," by [personal profile] cofax7, and hope it's even half as funny. Which it ought to be, considering it's about Farscape.

I'm sorry if y'all have seen these about a million times. I'm new-ish, and I like spreading joy. *waves hand cheerfully*
