Thursday pet peeves

1. When people ask you something, you say, "Just a second," and then, when you get back to them, they say "never mind" and refuse to tell you what they wanted.

2. When people tell you something they mean to be cute or funny, but is, in fact, some anecdote about them behaving badly in a way that you don't find cute or funny at all.

ahahah god #2, yes.

one of mine is people who are asking you to do something, especially a boss, framing it as "do you want to do x?" like, you actually have an option to say no.

Oh, number two almost made me lose my cool today.

And hah hah hah! My boss has a habit of saying, "Would you do me a favor?" And I have this THING (from storybooks/fairy tales) about saying yes to unspecified favors. So I always end up sounding like an idiot. *g*
