Jack/Daniel. There's an old saying that whoever you ring in the New Year with is who you'll spend the rest of the year with. It's New Year's Eve, and though they weren't expecting or intending to, somehow Jack and Daniel wind up spending it together.

Jack-and-Vala or Jack/Vala. Jack's looking after the SGC for Christmas so that Landry can spend time with his family. SG-1 is out of town -- except for Vala.
