The dangers of being multi-fannish

Lesson One: When reading a fic in one fandom with a very distinctive voice (i.e. Middleman), do not then turn right around and read in a different fandom like...Iron Man. Because Tony Stark isn't quite different enough from the Middleman on paper to keep yourself from reading the whole thing in Middleman-style, which is more than slightly absurd. I mean, the first line is “Miss Potts, I am the middle of a great tape emergency!”

Think about it.

Anyway, the two fics in question are these:

Middleman: The Juice Box (Truth Bomb) Debacle, by cereal, which is shippy and really hilarious.

Iron Man: Books and Backchat, by awanderingbar, in which Tony discusses Pride and Prejudice with Pepper. There is mention of Gretna Green. :-)

They are both quite silly and lovely.
