holdouttrout: not your ordinary fish (Default)
These are spoilery for this week’s episodes, so spoilers for “Birth” and possibly “The Bear King.”

1. A lot of people are saying that it is terrible for Regina to use the dagger to force Emma to ask herself what is holding her back. I agree that it was presumptive and brash, but am not sure it was a fundamental violation of trust. I want to get a broader understanding of how people see this–specifically the use of the dagger and not the scene as a whole.

2. I have seen a lot of SQ people interpreting Emma telling Killian she was nervous about their future together as her telling a half truth–that it, saying that she didn’t really want to start their future. I find such interpretations extremely agreeable to my SQ shipping side. However, I would like to know (because I’m having a hard time explaining it myself) how non-CS people are explaining that when she says that and he says it’s okay to be nervous and then they kiss that the promethean flame lights. Because to me that’s a fairly obvious way of saying that she did tell the truth and is now reassured.
