Friending and Apologies

I'm a little new at this whole livejournal thing, and I think I may have made a misstep. I've been friending all sorts of people I've found interesting and want to follow, but unfortunately I had not yet discovered that some people seem to think that being friended includes an obligation to friend and watch. I don't in any way *mind* being friended, but I don't want anyone I've friended to feel obligated to watch my journal in return.

So if you've friended me recently and didn't really want to in the first place...you can unfriend me with no hard feelings. Or you can stick around and see what I post. I'm a terribly difficult fanfic writer to get along with...constantly shifting fandoms, not writing enough smut, but who knows? Maybe you'll like it.

And just a note: I've really enjoyed watching all of your journals.

Whew. I think that probably does it.

Not a problem! But I'm reading your LJ and checked out your userinfo before I friended back. I quickly looked for an email to acknowledge your friending, but didn't fine one, so simply friended back.

I don't have a huge flist, so I noticed your addition immediately. Welcome!

No worries on the fanfic front. I have a number of people on my flist who either aren't writers or who don't write in the same fandoms I do. I still find them interesting ;)

I did add you to my fanfic filter, but if you'd rather not read smutty fic, just let me know and I'll filter you out, no hard feelings. I'd really prefer not to make anyone uncomfortable with anything I write.

No, no no! I like reading smut. And I ignore anything that would offend me anyway...oh, who am I kidding. I like smut. Sigh. Thanks for the comment and the reassurance.

Thanks for the comment. I really didn't think most people would be offended--I mean, I love it when people randomly friend me--but I've noticed some comments here and there and thought I'd clear it up.

Bah, some people take themselves - and their eljays - far too seriously.

I have 142 flisters and 95% of them were random friendings that turned into some great friendships.
