Also: how in the hell would I find a (safe) place to stay and is it even possible to still go? I wasn't able to get on the site this morning to find out anything like memberships or...anything useful, really, so if any of you have gone, let me know.

I seem to have accidentally managed to take off the perfect week from work if I *wanted* to go. Hmmm...

you could try couch surfing (I think it's couchsurfing.com - I've had friends who have ). all my socal people are just north of la, so that doesn't help much. man, if I thought I had anywhere near enough money, i would totally go and couchsurf with you. I was under the impression that the memberships are sold out, at least one of my friends was complaining the other day that someone hadn't bought him one who had promised they would and now he couldn't even get in. But I could be wrong! I find all this con stuff confusing. :)

The four-day passes are sold out, and that looks like it's mostly the fault of Saturday, which is all full.
