Thank you, XKCD. My life was not as fun before I saw this and heard the original. Of course, I ALSO have it stuck in my head.

This weekend, I took an ill-advised walk in 90-degree weather, went to garage sales, cleaned my bike-shaped object, read many Pern books, swam for the first time in the apartment pool, turned off my computer because I was too hot, caught a cold (AGAIN!), and slept badly.

It was a mixed bag this weekend.

HOWEVER! I did start on my gateverse_remix story. At least, I have about 600 words. And a TITLE. And a music mix.

I also did my recap for Seth, which goes live tomorrow! So much potential for inappropriate secks, and none in the episode! Sometimes, SG-1 *does* disappoint. ;-) However, there are many episode TAGS that are made of win, and might possibly be almost-canon in my opinion. I managed to keep the recap gen, though.

Short week this week, and fireworks at the end!

Oh, and does anyone know anything about lips? Specifically, why I keep getting rough patches on them when I use enough chapstick to supply an army? Could my favorite, beautiful, wonderful chapstick be CAUSING this? HELP!

I'm not a huge fan of Chapstick. It's ok in a pinch. I couldn't say it's causing your dry lips, I just know it doesn't work for me.

Are your sinuses congested? If you're breathing through your mouth because you're stuffy it dries out your lips. Happens to me all the time because of allergies.

It sounds silly, but I use a toothbrush to scrub my lips smooth each morning, then apply a lip balm like Burt's Bees or Kiss My Face. Both brands offer some nice formulas.

It's not Chapstick brand--and I'd had trouble in the past with other balms--as in, they didn't work. But maybe it's a me problem.

I am congested, but not *that* congested. I'll have to see if I can figure it out.
