In no particular order:

For [profile] pepper_field, who said she wanted the consequences for "On Top":

“That is so not how I imagined that conversation going.”

She quirked an eyebrow.

“Thought about it a lot?”

He grinned. “Hell, yes.”

She smiled back. “Me, too.”

He stuck his hands in his pockets, and she –well, she didn't do anything in particular, but she smiled widely and let the silence stretch. It was, after all, a nice silence.

“So they think we're...crazy?” he said finally.

She tilted her head. “I think the phrase Janet used was, “Under some sort of influence that our instruments just can't detect.”

“Do you think we are?” He sounded almost worried.

She shook her head, still smiling.

A lazy grin spread over his face.

“That's what I thought.”

He lay back on his bed, hands clasped under his head. “How long do you think they'll keep us in quarantine?”

She climbed over him, lay down next to him. “Until we start acting like ourselves again, I'd guess.”

“So...a while?”

“A while.”

For [profile] tara_4055, who wanted the day after "Different Page," and to find out if Han and Leia resolved their issues about marriage.

Leia's last meeting ran late. Really late. She almost wished she had taken temporary quarters on the base after all; by the time she walked all the way back to the Falcon, she was completely exhausted. She dropped her files on the holochess table, kicking it when it tried to turn on at the pressure from the datachips and papers. She took off her shoes and starting shucking her jacket and clothes before she even reached Han's quarters.

Han was already asleep, though a small light was on by the foot of the bed. Leia smiled a little guiltily at that. She hadn't seen him all day, and it was nice to know he had wanted her to come back.

She stripped down to her t-shirt and underwear and slid into bed, turning off the light. Han stirred beside her.

“I thought you might not come back tonight,” he said sleepily.

She said, “I thought you were asleep.”

He turned over, brushed her arm. “I was waiting for a princess.” He lowered his voice conspiratorially. “That's important, you know.”

She smiled, although he couldn't see it. “I'm sorry for earlier.”

He stilled. “Me, too.”

Leia moved toward him, pressed a kiss to his cheek by his lips, settled into him, his arm fitting under her neck, their hips touching.

“Tomorrow,” Leia said, “we need to talk about...things.”

“Things?” he sounded hopeful.

“Yeah,” she said softly. “Things.”

I hope both of you like your responses! I had fun trying not to thwart what you wanted me to do, and I hope I (mostly) succeeded.

Awww, I love that piece so much I want to marry it. How do you always manage to hold so much emotion in such little scenes, holdouttrout? Very, very sweet and I love how you write Han and Leia's subtle intimacy, especially in lines such as this "Leia moved toward him, pressed a kiss to his cheek by his lips, settled into him, his arm fitting under her neck, their hips touching." I also loved how they didn't even have to really talk about their argument before they both knew that it was over.

You should post these fics on the boards, I know a lot of people would like to read them!

I am so, so, so glad you liked your response. Little scenes have to have more emotion or else they get lost in the sea of epics. :-)

I am actually planning on posting these on the board...tonight. :-) I hope everyone else likes them, too.

Thanks for this request--it was a lot of fun to write, and I really enjoyed going over some of my older stories.

'Ray! Ah, the old 'under the influence of alien stuff' excuse - the perfect get-out clause. *g* I bet Janet's just covering for them, bless her.

Thank you!

I had this completely hilarious idiotic idea that they truly were at a loss. Because we, as a fandom, totally know it's fate...but maybe the SGC is peopled by brilliant and yet completely personally uninsightful people. Except for Jacob, but that's different.

Can I just say, I love your icon? It's just...pretty.

And you're welcome!
