Boring internet cat story: Last night, my cats cuddled with me while I NaNo-ed--one right by my hand, and the other on the floor between my feet. I put off going to the bathroom so I wouldn't disturb them. I am so totally and helplessly devoted to them...and I think they're beginning to suspect. Also, they are no longer my roommates' cats in casual conversation. It takes too long to explain.

Well, you see, if enough people start doing NaNo (and more and more people do it every year), one November, everyone will be doing it, and therefore be completely distracted, and that'll be the cat's moment, and THEY'LL STRIKE.

Admittedly, it's a long-term plan.
