Wait, there are people who don't like cilantro?

I know a few of them. Weirdos. *g*

OMG! For real.

I'm with you on all of 'em apart from the snoring - makes me homicidal lol

Yeah...I'm still not sure why it doesn't bother me. Oh, well. It's a useful thing to know.

People don't like cilantro?!?!?!?!? It is my very favorite herb! Or...maybe second-favorite behind basil. It's a tough call. Mmmm, cilantro!

I also can't stand the thought of long nails. Mine are annoying, actually, because the quick is really close to the end of my fingers, so I have to cut my nails about every other day to keep them short enough--short enough for climbing, and for years prior to that it was for playing the violin, but I find that even when I'm not climbing or playing the violin I still need them to be short or they drive me insane. I also can't stand polish on my fingernails. Painted toenails are great, but not on my fingernails.

My nails were bitten regularly when I was younger, so the quick retreated in terror. *g* It means I have VERY short nails now. I don't really mind, though.

LOVE cilantro. Yes.

I'm not with you on the pink or cold feet. I might like math. I don't know anymore!

And cilantro is next to godliness.

I LOVE cilantro, but I know many people who don't.

Math is fun! You should try it sometime. *g*

1. Cilantro.

Haven't really had it.

2. Snoring.

Can be charming until it's loud enough to keep me awake.

3. The color pink.

Have fully embraced my love of pink.:)

4. Not being warned about character death in fics.

OOOOoooohhh, no, HAVE to be warned. Yep. That said, I respect the author's right to NOT spoil their own fic, but as a reader, I will only read things where I know (if at all possible). It's a "thing" with me.

5. Math.

Math Is Love.

6. Having my feet be cold.

Don't like that much. All of me is cold so much of the time, now.

7. Having short nails.

Mine won't grow anymore. Used to. Won't now. And now, I'm sort of accustomed to the functionality, and can't imagine giving up easy typing on my laptop or violin or guitar, etc., etc....

Even loud snoring doesn't seem to bother me. Guess I'm just weird.

I'm pretty sure most people agree about the death in fic thing--I just don't mind not knowing as long as it's a good story.

Date: 2008-11-20 12:05 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] suehypno.livejournal.com
I don't mind cilantro, but I know people who think it taste like soap...it seems to be a genetic thing maybe?

I'm a poor sleeper to begin with, so snoring definitely is a bad thing.

Umm, I wear pink--is that bad?

I used to be hotblooded, but now that I've lost a ton of weight I'm cold all the time--and I'm not happy about it!

Short nails are a must--I can't stand the clickety-clack on the keyboard--plus I find long ones gross, particularly if they're touching food. Ew.

I've heard that not liking cilantro is genetic. I always wonder which side is right... *g*

Pink is a perfectly awesome color, and I hate clacking on keyboards, too.

Math!!! I love Math!!!! But I embrased my inner geek long ago and came to terms with it and moved on!

Pink! I like pink too, and cilantro...but my cold feet and unwarned character death in a fic - not so much!

I really don't mind much of anything in a good fic. :-)

4. Not being warned about character death in fics.

Hee! I find this amusing. I'm not entirely sure why, but there you have it.

ext_2131: picture of a fish with lots of green (Default)
Well, I put that one in there after reading the comments on your post, and it's something I've notice other people saying a lot. :-)

Date: 2008-11-20 12:50 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] beanpot.livejournal.com
I do remember reading that cilantro is one of those things - you love it or hate it. Sort of like licorice.

I use to avoid pink until someone told me that pink was too girly and then I embraced my girlyness.

As for long nails. I can't help it. Mine grow really fast and even though I cut them once a week, they are just long. Long and freakishly strong - I scrap letters off my keyboards without trying.

ext_2131: picture of a fish with lots of green (Default)
Yeah, if my nails were stronger, I might deal with the length better, but I used to bite my nails and I still play with them a lot.

I started to like pink again gradually and then realized I actually did love it sometimes. And I had someone say the same thing about it being too girly, which cemented my love for it.

Ha! You are totally my perfect con roomie, considering how badly I can snore sometimes.

*grins* It comes in handy a LOT. Okay, well, not a LOT, but enough that I've noticed.

6. Having my feet be cold.

I totally have to agree with you on that one, my legs and feet are really the last things that I notice are cold.

Hands, on the other appendage, are another thing entirely...

I don't know--sometimes I don't mind my hands being cold, but it WAS a pain to try to play piano with cold hands--they get colder when I'm nervous, I swear.

Date: 2008-11-20 06:42 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] pcrackenhead.livejournal.com
It's true, in the grand scheme of people bothered by cold, having my hands cold doesn't bother me much, but I certainly do notice it more often than I do mah feetsies.

I think it's also been scientifically proven that cold feet can also always be remedied by alcohol. ;)

Only if you're a fish. ;-)

1. A friend of mine says she's one of those 10% of the people for whom cilantro tastes like dish soap. It's okay in salsa in moderation.

2. you or someone else in the room?

3. bright, pastel, coralish - ANY pink?

4. sosososososososo not with you there!

5. Math's okay until Calculus

6. sosososososososo not with you there!

7. meh. I like them to be shorter than the ends of my fingers to facilitate typing and piano playing, but not down to the quick. Anywhere in between those two points is fine.

Pink used in moderation with other colors. Otherwise I'd say just about any pink. I really learned the beauty of bright, vivid pinks while in Spain because the colors of the year for Sevillanas dresses were pink and lime green, and I thought they were AWESOME.

Oh, and someone else in the room. I actually have a theory that I snore, but haven't quite confirmed it.

Date: 2008-11-20 02:58 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] mrspollifax.livejournal.com
I was unaware of this cilantro-soap taste phenomenon. It's very difficult to imagine a strong flavor like cilantro tasting like Ivory to anyone, but apparently this is actually a thing. Taste buds are very weird.

I like pink, but I pretended for years that I didn't because the guys in my classes in college made fun of me whenever I was girly. Hee.

Date: 2008-11-20 03:16 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] peri81.livejournal.com
1. I'm not sure about the Cilantro.
2. Snoring I don't mind so much.
3. I heart pink. Goes well with green.
4. I hate knowing that someone is going to die, its like a massive spoiler.
5. Its not so bad.
6. The only way I can sleep.
7. I keep my nails short, but sometimes I wish I had nails that were long and I could paint crazy things on.

Date: 2008-11-20 06:16 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] holdouttrout.livejournal.com
ext_2131: picture of a fish with lots of green (Default)
4. THANK YOU. Personally, I don't know that I *mind* it so much as I just don't care to know and think the impact of not knowing is much greater. I do tend to forget about the spoiler by the time I get to it in the fic, though. *g*

Date: 2008-11-20 03:38 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] poetressforgod.livejournal.com
ok, cilantro is TOTALLY the norm! Especially if you live in the west!

I *like* pink. Salmon looks amazing on me.

I only dislike math because it is very hard for me.

I really dislike haivng my feet be cold, but they are cold. ALL THE TIME.

And yet look at all the opinions! *g*

I love pinks when handled carefully. Girl-pink-overdose gives me headaches, but otherwise I'm pretty okay with it.
