I'm working on getting better at this, so if you have any critiques, go ahead. *g*
Here are three icons I made for those of us who can't turn on the news without hearing "Stormwatch 2008!" or that the "Snowmagedden!" is nearly upon us.
Ah, the joys of browsing the getyourwordsout friends list - you find gems like this. I thought I was the only weather addict. You mean, there's nothing wrong with getting out of the shower and turning on one's iPod touch to quickly check the day's weather forecast before you get dressed? Or to complain that the app only gives me radar and not synoptic as well? :D
*auto-friends*
I love that you're using white text for these. White text FTW. :D The only thing I'd suggest is to make your drop shadow less blurry and closer to the text - it'll make the white stand out a little more.
Hahaha! Those are perfect. I got up this morning and there's no local station that doesn't have constant news and people out in the storm, driving around and reporting that, yes, this street is ALSO snow-covered and slippery, OMG. Plus, they keep interviewing the state troopers and the snow plow drivers, who also say that, yes, the streets are snow-covered and slippery. But the troopers have bad hats and are freezing while the plow drivers are all wearing fur hats and look like bears. It's amusing.
Hee. I love watching the weather reporters freeze their asses off, or have trouble with their equipment. I find it amusing, especially since the weather here is usually so mild.
I'm wondering if I actually might need my chains this morning. It snowed again last night (a smattering, only) but that could mean that I can't get out of my parking lot without chains. *sighs*
Yeah. It's supposed to get REALLY bad ANY TIME NOW, really! They say we may see as much as 10 inches of snow on Sat/Sun, which is virtually unheard of here.
these are cute! I'm taking that middle one since I have NOAA and weatherbug open as we speak. I found you by googling for LJ weather icons if that helps!
