I saw splash_the_cat 's entry today, and it made me feel guilty.

annerbhp: I'm sorry! I even picked my own freakin' prompt and I haven't got it done yet! There's just this little matter of action (which I know I suck at, and didn't realize was going to show up) and it will be done. I'm letting my subconscious work on it. It's fine, what I have so far, only...Not Quite Right.

*Breaks down and cries.*

(This is also why I haven't posted very much recently, as I've been guilt-ridden over pirate fic)

Awww... Go watch a few of the more action-y eps - Fifth Man, maybe? Er... Allegiance... bits of Heroes... Nemesis... Hey, even if it doesn't help, it's fun. *g*

Personally, I can't write action to save my life. I find it so difficult to make it interesting, with all the trying-to-remember-who-is-where-doing-what. I shamelessly skip it and jump to the aftermath. So I'm doing a cheerleader dance of encouragement for you giving it a go - "Rah! Rah! Rah! Go holdouttrout!"

I watched uh..."Shades of Grey" last night, and was like, "Oh, that's where this comes in..." and then I watched "200" for about the eighth time.

Carter: Technobabbles
Marty: "Can you say that again?"
Carter: Disbelieving look. "No."

I just love that episode. I think my roommate worries for my sanity, though, because every time I watch it, I giggle the whole way through.

I keep thinking there's got to be a clever way to skip the action...
