Vampires of the Order of the Red Cross And Three Other Things

1. I donated some of my precious bodily fluids today, and had a few minor adventures, but the main thing that had me annoyed was that when they took out the needle--the woman practically ripped it out of my arm. I had to hold my arm over my head for way, way longer than usual.

And now it aches.

Ouch.

2. Speaking of vampires, I've been reading Tanya Huff. I had no idea what I was missing in my vampire novels. Oh, wait, that's right: vampires that didn't suck.

Well, they do.

Er... you know what I meant.

Also: kick-ass heroine, awesome secondary characters, and intelligent plotting!

I'm up to the one with the mummy.

3. Earlier this week, I also managed to hit a store closing sale and got three pairs of pants, jeans, and two belts... for $47. *drops dead* SO excited. I'm still riding the euphoria from that trip.

4. Finally, I had a moment. Or rather, I saw a Sam/Cam moment. In Ark of Truth, at the end, with the macaroons. I mean, yeah, it was always there, but I never paid attention. *fans self* Still not willing to try macaroons to prove my fannish devotion, though.

Hee. Yes. The books are quite fun, although just a liiiitle dated when it comes to tech. (No real cell phone presence, etc.)
