Sanctuary fannishness

I don't know what it is*, but I have hit critical mass with Sanctuary--I'm reading fic, and rewatching, and day-dreaming up implausible John/Helen kisses in rainstorms.

Look, I have a Thing about kissing in the rain, okay?

But seriously, I've got it bad. I'm at that weird in-love stage where episodes like "Nubbins" look all adorable and fun--I think part of this is that the first time I was watching these eps I was still so close to Stargate and Amanda-Tapping-as-Sam-Carter that I was anxiously watching for all the wrong things instead of enjoying the ride, and now I'm oh so definitely enjoying the ride.

I only had time to watch the very beginning of "The Five" this morning, and oh, Tesla. I can't wait for more of your evil, snarky deliciousness.

*Maybe partly having to do with some of the recent, amazing fic I've been reading. And bookmarking.

I wasn't expecting it to grab hold of me as hard as it has, especially as much as I disliked about the first few episodes! Silly addictive show. :D

Hah! Yes, I was noticing a few of the things that you'd pointed out as bugging you-- "the abnormals," etc, and while they still make me uncomfortable, there's all the addictive awesomeness, too.

OMG, I know, right? I think it's a combination of how awesome-sauce season three has been, how we've got just enough information about the characters now to make writing/reading fic fun and feel accurate, without taking away opportunities for cool things that may/may not have happened, and the fact we have to wait until April (APRIL) for new episodes.

Ordering S1 and S2 may be high on my priority list so that I can do a comprehensive re-watch/fic write.

PPS. I cannot wait for more Tesla snarkiness either. How about a Tesla/Magnus kiss in the rain? Hee!

I think you're right--season three was sort of the tipping point for character backstory and with some really solid episodes.
