A long, long time ago I decided to write 100 drabbles from 100 prompts, found somewhere on livejournal. I got about halfway through and set it aside. Here are some new ones, using my new OTP, Sam/Jack from Stargate. One of the things I've discovered is that writing series of drabbles is fun. Thus, the first two go together, and the second two go together.

033. Too Much
Note: This is set somewhere before Heroes, but there really aren't any spoilers.
He shut his eyes, but it was too late. The image of her, hit with the staff blast and falling, falling—the image seared into his mind, an overlay in red to everything he was doing now—running, lifting her, oh god, running again, toward the blue of the ‘gate and hope, hope, hope that it wasn’t too late to save her, even though it was too late to save him, to keep him from running over the edge again. He wanted to erase it all, take it all back, die with Charlie long ago so she might live now.
034. Not enough
Note: Continuation from "Too Much."
“Damage to the right side of your chest, the right lung, and your shoulder.”
“Not enough, Janet,” came the hoarse voice from the bed, accompanied by a stiff smile. “Not enough to kill me.”
Janet sighed. “You’re very lucky, Sam. A little to the right, or another two minutes, and we wouldn’t be talking. And you’ll have a long recovery, I’m afraid.”
He opened his eyes and pushed off the wall outside the room, taking care not to tip his tray.
“Jello delivery,” he called cheerfully. Her eyes brightened, he smiled back and wondered who he thought he was fooling.

071. Broken.
Note: "Tin Man" and "Double Jeopardy" spoilers.
“Sam. Sam. I need your help. They’re broken.”
She groaned, still feeling residuals from the power surge of the Goa’uld field. Her head was twitching uncomfortably, but the excess power had at least kept her memory intact. It was quiet, inside, and she missed their voices.
“They brought you back, but I can’t fix the others.”
She got up and examined them. The memory was intact. The rest was just mechanics. She fixed Daniel first, as an apology; then Teal’c. They rested while her hands shook as she filled him up with the silvery liquid she now understood too well.
072. Fixed.
Note: "Tin Man" and "Double Jeopardy" spoilers. Continuation from "Broken."
She lay back and watched his eyes as he catalogued her own damage. Her "skin" was burned, but that would repair itself in time. For now, he just had to check her wiring, glue her skin back together.
They kept up a silent dialogue as he sent little jolts to her lungs, her fingers, her heart, making sure each connection still worked.
She laughed when he crossed the wires for her pinky and thumb and let him seal her up that way. She would fix it later, but wanted to enjoy his hands pressing her back together, making her whole.
