Sheesh, today was interesting. I woke up too early, dug my cat's "surprise gift" out of the shower drain--please, don't ask--, wrote my 600 words on the galpalficathon story, watched "Sanctuary" (which was fab and fic-worthy although I won't get there yet), and then chipped my car out of the ice-like frost around it, drove cautiously to church, had lunch and games with my friends, and drove back...IN THE SNOW.
I stopped by the bookstore because I realized I had not bought the workbook for my French class which starts Tuesday. I was hoping the store right by me had it--they DID!--and then for kicks I went to look at the "Science Fiction Series" section to see Stargate: Atlantis and then Star Trek books, but lo! There was new SG-1! I picked up Alliances and Do No Harm, which I really, really hope are good, as I couldn't remember what others had said about them.
Then I almost caused an accident by braking very, very slowly on a very shallow hill and sliding several different ways at once. However, I managed to duck back into the other lane and stop without hitting anyone. Thank you. *take bow*
After I got home, I made myself tea and wrote another 1,400 words or so, which brings my total words written for the year up to 5,003. *facepalm* This can't last, but I am loving it while it does.
Work tomorrow: bleh.
