Hey, look, Ma! I'm not talking about Legend of the Seeker!
Penance: This one was hard for me to get over, what with not-Daniel. I managed eventually, but pretty much only toward the end. I liked the ruse with the implants (which gave me a laugh, seeing as I think I've seen those before... somewhere...). I liked Helen apologizing at the end to Kate about not catching that in her background checks. (How does one thank a mermaid? Go swimming with her, of course! Will: I'll get my suit. Helen: No suit. Bwa ha ha ha ha!)
Sleepers: This episode was made of total and utter win. Henry at Comic Con, and the Big Guy along because it's one of the few places he fits in. Hah! (A reference to geek culture that didn't make me want to cringe? Say it isn't so!) I have been obsessed with vampires recently, and I really liked this take on the myth, because it was FUNNY. Poor Dead Steve.
Haunted: Oh, JOHN. Oh, Helen. Oh, Helen and John. Also, Big Guy and Kate are a surprisingly wonderful team. Mating every five years! Pocketknife! This was fairly interesting, actually. Okay, so the entity in control being sort of a part of John, and him actually working to stop it--at least at the very end. I understand that they're trying to redeem him, and yet, I think it might be more interesting to me if John killed all those people. And the ending. Aw crap. Is he gone? We'll see, I suppose.
