These days the most fun I have talking about Once Upon a Time is talking about it with my mother. She calls herself a “Oncer” in part because she’s found out that’s what fans are called and in part because she knows it will get a reaction from me. She doesn’t particularly care about ships. She gets confused about the plot so I get to explain things to her. She listens to me rant about King Leopold for minutes at a time.
Honestly, everyone who watches this show should have a mother who watches it, too.

I’m looking forward to explaining what just happened on Once Upon a Time to my mother tomorrow morning.
(And reassuring her that Hook will be back. Because she my mom and I love her and she can’t handle the suspense.)
