That shot of the Zelbinion in the rings is just… so beautiful and also beautifully 90s.

I always wonder about when they reuse the sets they have but just… trash them up a lot. Like… is that going to be as much work to clean up as it looks? Do set people see "Interior: Command Carrier, obviously been through a battle, like… really wet and disgusting and beat up," and just despair a little inside?

I really love Aeryn's big-ass gun. I just think that's a great look. Maaaybe better than the Back and Back and Back to the Future episode. Certainly seems to suit the character better, anyway.

I love the little look that Aeryn and Gilina share when Crichton says he'll help. It's just such a "but you can't possibly be… smart."

Hehe, John and Aeryn have a peculiar definition of "clearing the air."

Rygel's story is really fascinating, too. Farscape is a show where even the off-screen trauma of its characters affects the plot and lends depth to everyone. Or, to put it slightly differently: Paaaaaaain. Aaaaangst.

That Old Black Magic

Before I actually start watching--I just want to say that I remember hating this episode.

SHOT through a wormhole! … A Ship. A LIVING Ship! … Ya ya ya! .... Sorry. Sometimes the theme gets the better of me.

I just realized that I stopped paying attention. Oops. Where were we? Maldis. Maroon aliens. Crais has trauma in his past, blah blah blah. Maldis is a jerk. Zhaan doesn't want to hurt anyone.

Quick question while this episode bores me: If you were to show a character who was a true pacifist and wanted to depict that as a source of strength… how would that differ from the way Zhaan is shown here?

WHY do I find this episode so amazingly boring?
