Dear LJ:
I currently pay for not seeing ads. I get this. It's a business thing. You have to make money to keep giving me icon space, and that comes either through advertising or through me. I prefer to give you my money directly and avoid having epileptic seizures while looking at the screen. Still, because you chose to not inform your current members of the fact you were no longer offering basic, ad-free accounts (that still see ads on Plus accounts), I am giving you an

Bah. Stupid peoples.

In other news, I'm still excited about my wonderful, wonderful copy of AoT. I will watch it soon. Yessss....soooooon. Though maybe not tonight. (See below).

And I'm buying a mattress tonight, as my old one used to be my brother's and is of indeterminate age. I have brought a book (Solaris) to read whilst I try various beds out in the showrooms. I'm gonna try to convince my brother to take me pillow and sheet-shopping afterward, too, as the fact of the matter is my old stuff is kinda..junky. :-)

Er...I want an e-Reader. I have Kindle lust.

That is all.

The Kindle is ridiculously expensive, plus you have to pay each time you put one of your own files on it. I'll pass. Especially since when I considered one, not a single book on my to-read list was actually available for it, even if I had been willing to pay for them a second time when they were sitting right here beside me already.

As for mattresses -- memory foam rules.

That initially discouraged me, too, but I checked into it a little more and it seems that if you use the service to do it, it's $0.10 a shot, which isn't too bad...BUT, there's actually a work-around that doesn't cost anything at all, where you e-mail the doc, dl to your computer, and then use the USB cable. Long and complicated? Yes. Avoiding the charge? Possibly not worth it, but possibly very worth it. Anyway, right now I only have lust, not actual "I'm going to buy it right now" ness.

I've always wanted something like the Kindle, long before they got around to making one. I'm glad to see the technology is finally looking like what I envisioned, but it'll be a while yet before I jump on board. I just don't leave the house enough to bother currently.
