I hereby freely admit that I do, indeed, LIKE Sam Carter. (The character, not Amanda Tapping. Although, as far as actors go, she's only slightly behind Claudia Black on the List of Female Actors Holdouttrout Loves to the Point of Insanity.)

That being said, hate comms and contests are icky. (the entry linked has been deleted. essentially, it was a bunch of rational people stating that a contest to kill off Sam was kinda a bad idea, for various reasons.)

So while I do, indeed, like Sam Carter, I can understand that people don't like her. Some people have Really Good Reasons for disliking her. Others just don't want their slash dynamic screwed. You can make up your own mind about the linked post.

Well, and plenty of J/D fans like other pairings too, so I'm assuming that if they stick around they like something else I'm putting out there. But everytime I make a post like that I tend to get one or two people defriending me, so it's worth it to avoid any potential wank. ;)

Ooh, but wank entries like this SGA one are useful as I've seen one or two from my flist there wanking on Sam. Feh, off they go!
