Atlantis season 5 spoilers in this link. All I have to say is that I am going to be vastly entertained, both by the fan's reaction to the news and then probably by the show itself. Because...eeep! Also, some of the other spoilers are Very Good.
beanpot has some lovely, spoilery comments in her journal, too.
I have been perusing the blog A Dress a Day, and I find that my love for sewing (which ebbs and flows into projects until we get to hemming, which is nasty and awful) is coming back. I am going to make it (picture would follow if the picture loading program would, you know, work, or if photobucket wasn't down for maintenance) in a very interesting, dragon-laden, gold and brown fabric that surprises me with how much I like it every time I did it out. If it turns out, you can expect to see it at dragon*con. Yes. I must must must remember that cutting is 90% of the work, and that it is necessary to acquire notions before starting the project. Other than that, I should be fine. It looks like a fairly easy pattern. (Simplicity 4050, the short version with the edging on the hem, too).
WARNING: THERE WILL MORE THAN LIKELY BE SPOILERS IN THE COMMENTS.

Date: 2008-02-05 09:59 pm (UTC)From:My first sewing project was a *dress* that I made, in cotton with sheer, slippery material over it, for a costume. It was hellish, and I absolutely did not actually attach the sleeves myself. I had to get help. Since then, I've made a couple of bags, a corset, and a few skirts. This will be attempt two at a dress, but thankfully, it's a simpler pattern and easier material.
