holdouttrout: not your ordinary fish (Default)
Hello. Can we just agree that the only good thing about Fridays is the fact that work eventually ends?

'Cause it seems that Fridays on lj are ded ded ded, and that makes me sad. I want fun stuff to reeeeaaaaaddddddd, people.

In other news: I have an idea for crackfic, but I need a prompt. That...doesn't make any sense, does it. Anyway, give me prompts! I promise nothing, not even a story, although you'll probably get one, knowing me, but prompts are always good!

Bonus points if they are ideas that would normally send most people screaming for the back button. I AM that evil, yes.

*grins*

Jack and Sam have two sets of twins and they hire a nanny with purple eyes...but why is she really here and what are her plans for Daniel?!!??!!!??

Does Jack give birth to one set and Sam the other?

What, the 118 squicks aren't enough of an inspiration for you? I think you should write #118. >:)

Nono! She should write the "unless" part of #117!

(How about secret agent dentists who fight crime...Valley Girl style!)

Vala was just getting ready for work when Sam interrupted her.

"Vala," she said, snapping her gum and putting a hand on one hip. "Do you, like, have a lot of appointments today?"

Vala rolled her eyes. "Like a ton."

"No way!" Sam sympathized.

"Totally," Vala agreed. She frowned at her pristine white lab coat and brushed at an imaginary speck of dirt. "Do you think they actually wash these? They always smell weird."

Sam flipped sides so she was standing with all her weight on her other foot, her hand curled into an awkward fist around a plaque scraper.

"I know! But seriously, I need to know about today. Like, I was totally hoping that we'd be able to ditch this afternoon and do..." she looked around their office and then leaned forward and lowered her voice a fraction. "...stuff. You know."

Vala's eyes brightened. "Spill!"

Sam waved her hand as if dismissing it. "It's like, totally boring, right, but you-know-who asked me for a favor, and it's gotta be better than Mr. Jones' halitosis."

"Do we get to like, kill anyone this time?" Vala said brightly.

Sam frowned. "Only if they try to kill us first."

Vala pouted. "Bummer."

"Totally," Sam mourned. She took another quick look around, ignoring the hygenists who were staring at them as if they'd lost their minds. "Two o'clock, then?"

Vala brightened. "Yeah!"

Sam grinned and then flounced off to her office, leaving Vala to shrug into her lab coat and get ready for a day of doing battle against some very nasty villains.

"Plaque, you're like, totally going down," she muttered.

She was ready to start the day.

I admit that I was totally, like, inspired by the completely awesome valley-girl style deleted scenes from House season 2. I think all shows should do them, now.

Aren't you, like, totally married already? I dunno if I could, like, handle the jealousy?

You are so totally welcome, btw.

French-made anime set in Beverly Hills (I kid you not). Three teenage girls save the world while being appropriately shallow and going shopping a lot. A rather crack-y guilty pleasure of mine from several years ago. *g*

Lt. Colonel Cameron "Cam" Mitchell of the United States Air Force, assigned to the top secret mission known as the Stargate Project which had been founded after Doctor Daniel "Space Monkey" Jackson deciphered the symbols on an ancient ring that had been uncovered in Gisa, Egypt in 1928 and allowed for near-instantaneous travel between planets, woke up pregnant.

What is this fascination with getting Cam pregnant?

Also: EXPOSITION!!!

Date: 2008-04-11 10:30 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] 6beforelunch.livejournal.com
Maybe because he's the only one who'd have the decency to get freaked out about it? Jack would bitch and Daniel would sulk and Teal'c...well, Teal'c's been incubating immature lifeforms since before Hammond was born, so for him it would just be more of the same. Cam's the only one who can be counted on for a genuine grade A freak out. ;)

Whee, exposition!

Date: 2008-04-11 07:55 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] spiletta42.livejournal.com
Well I wouldn't call it an order, so much, seeing as I wouldn't read it without a gun to my head . . .

The idea is to write something using those basic cliches that is not so horrific that people throw up after reading it.

That's why it's a tall order.

Date: 2008-04-11 08:09 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] spiletta42.livejournal.com
I'm all for that sport, but in this case it can't be done. Absolutely not. *mutters something about Cam being a virgin, and Sam and Vala have to flip a coin to see who helps him out, because he doesn't want to die a virgin, and in the meantime Daniel and Teal'c and even Jack are stranded in the tiny little space with them and bombs are falling . . . *
